SEIZURE BY DRI

  1. DRI busts a drug syndicate in North East and seizes a whopping 3.39 tons of Ganja (Cannabis) in a joint operation by DRI Agartala, Tripura State Police and . Ganja was recovered from 85 plastic drums, concealed underground.Two persons have been arrested.
     

  2. DRI Kolkata seized Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) from a lady from Karnataka, travelling by Jogbani-Kolkata Express, outside Kolkata Railway Station. 104 fake Indian notes with face value of Rs.2.02 lakh were recovered from her handbag. She has been arrested.
  3. In a massive anti-narcotics operation DRI busted an international drug syndicate. 253 Kgs of party drugs namely Ketamine & 12 Kgs of Methamphetamine have been seized and 4 persons arrested under NDPS Act.

  4. DRI Chennai seized 11.15 kgs of gold valued at ₹ 3.35 crores, smuggled from Sri Lanka through the sea route, while being transported by bus from Ramanathapuram to Madurai. 3 persons have been arrested.
  5. DRI Bengaluru rummaged an aircraft that arrived from Delhi and recovered 6.6 Kgs of gold valued at Rs. 2.03 crore concealed in the aircraft's toilet.
  6. DRI seized 10.2 kgs of gold in 2 cases. DRI Imphal seized 3.9 kgs of gold valued at Rs.1.2 crore smuggled from Myanmar. DRI also seized 6.3 kilos of gold bars valued at Rs 1.88 cr and Foreign Currencies equivalent to ₹10.93 lakh at Trichy Airport. 6 persons have been arrested.
