CBEC has regularised the adhoc promotions pending from 1997-98 to 2001-02 DPC panels.It can be seen that the adhoc promotions have been regularised only to the extent of DRs recruited in each year.Of course,this was the decision/directive in the SC case on the seniority matter between DR and Promotee Appraisers.The ratio adopted appears to be 6:1:2 .Thus in all, there are only 95 Superintendent of Central Excise,16 Superintendent, Cus(prev) and 23 Appraisers for the 5 years period!!.
