there is no plan to increase the retirement age of central government employees from existing 60 years to 62 years, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said today.

 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday raised the retirement age of state government employees to 62 years. The retirement age has been raised by two years, earlier being 60 years. Earlier in August 2013, Chief Minister Chouhan had said that the Madhya Pradesh government would consider raising the retirement age of state government employees from 60 to 62 years.
But there is no plan to increase the retirement age of central government employees from existing 60 years to 62 years, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said today.
“No,” he said, in a written reply to a question as to whether the government proposes to change the retirement age of the employees.
