IRS(INDIRECT TAXES ) OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION

FORMATION OF AFFILIATED UNITS: Dear Comrades, It has been proposed to create 23 affiliated units of IRS(Indirect Taxes) Officers Association through out the country. Therefore all the units are requested to conduct a general body meting in their respective jurisdiction urgently to elect office bearers ( if no election has been conducted), adoption of bye- laws, and obtaining of a signature statement as proof  of such meeting and election.The signature statement should contain signature of at least 80% of the sanctioned strength. After meeting is over please submit the election result, signature statement, copy of bye-laws along with prescribed affiliation fees to the under singed for issue of affiliation certificate. A consolidated statement will be submitted to Board about such affiliated units with a request that all such affiliated units should be allowed for participation in zonal level redressal meeting and allow the members of such affiliated units for deduction of their membership through check up systems. Only the affiliated units will be recognised to perform their associations activities independently up to level of CC/ Principal CC. After issue of affiliation certificates the all India general body meeting of such affiliated units will be conducted irrespective of any numbers to adopt constitution and election of new all India  office bearers. THE NAMES OF PROPOSED UNITS FOR IRS(INDIRECT TAXES) OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION ARE FURNISHED BELOW: 1. Ahmedabad Unit- 2 zones Ahmedabad Central Excise zone and Ahmedsbad Customs Zone. 2. Bengaluru Unit- 2 zones- Begaluru, Central Excise &, Bengalur Customs. 3. Mysore Unit- Mysore Central Excise zone. 4. Bhopal Unit- Bhopal Central Excise zone. 5. Bhubaneswar Unit- Bhubaneswar Central Excise Zone. 6. Chandigarh Unit- Chandigarh Central Excise Zone. 7. Chennai Unit- 3 zones- Chennai Central Excise-Customs-œ Service Tax. 8. Cochin Unit- Cochin Central Excise zone. 9. Coimbatore Unit- Coimbatore Central Excise zone. 10. Delhi Unit- 5 zones- Central Excise, -Customs, --Customs(P),-- Service Tax ---and all Directorates. 11. Hyderabad Unit- Hyderabad Central Excise. 12. Jaipur Unit- Jaipur Central Excise. 13. Kolkata Unit- 3 zones- Central Excise,- Customs- Service Tax. 14. Lucknow Unit- Lucknow Central Excise. 15. Meerut Unit- Meerut Central Excise. 16.
