A rectification order to the promotion order issued on 22.10.14 may be issued during this week granting notional promotions to near about 40 Superintendents of Central Excise to the post of Asst. Commissioner , who  could get promotion due to oversight. 

Ø  Promotion Order of other Group A cadres starting from STS to Apex level for the year 13-14  will be issued first thereafter considering the consequential vacancies on account of retirements and promotions to higher posts, etc,  DPC for the JTS posts for 20014-15 will be conducted. The unfilled posts in JTS level for the 2013-14 of Superintendent of Central Excise slot  will be released after litigation of Chandigarh is finalised. The unfilled posts in JTS level for 2014-14 of Appraiser slot will be released after the seniority dispute  in Appraiser grade is decided. 

ØØ  Petition on regional disparity, has been admitted on 13.11.2014, in the Bombay CAT and the final hearing is fixed in the second week of the February, 2015. Petition for introduction of all India seniority list w.e.f 2003 in the grade of Inspector is pending in Principal Bench , CAT , Delhi. 

Ø  CAT Mumbai decided the petition of Supdt. Cus( P) for preparation of seniority list as per   the N R Parmar Judgment of Apex Court. An other petition by certain Superintendents of Central Excise will be filed in Mumbai CAT  to give effect and to fix the seniority as per the requisition of the vacancy as per the OM of 1959/1986.
